Class of ’88: Music we grew up with

In honor of my upcoming 30 year high school reunion next weekend I have made a playlist of some of my favorite songs from the ’80’s (in no particular order). My 13 year old son told me not too long ago that I grew up in “the best time ever” and when I asked him why, he said because the music then was so amazing. I love that he loves listening to old stuff as much as current R&B and rap but I really cannot stand it when he gets that Jitterbug, wake me up before you go-go song in my head by singing it to me. Grrrrrr.

NOTE: Each song is linked to youtube so you can click on it to hear it and in many cases watch the video as well.

A shout out to my friend Jon Frankel who loves music and requested songs from our class. Hope these don’t disappoint.
